    2. Great job Keith. Eat chocolate before every 5K. We need to get working on that chocolate chia cake asap.

    3. I think the chocolate April got me from the festival helped. The official results are out on racepacket.com. Peter finished 6th overall in 19:33 and I finished 3rd in 18:30. I even got $25 to spend at the Fenty owned Fleet Feet in DC!

    4. So are you going to spend your $25 or get it framed?

    5. I think I might spend it on a green singlet for the St. Patrick's day 8k. Maybe there I can win one of the fleece vests!!

    8. I'll probably be there around 9AM to run the last 8 miles with Jenn as she does her 20 mile long run.

    9. I'm going to try to be at the track at 6:30 for a short run today. I didn't see any home games scheduled for Chantilly.

    10. Great to be back on the W+OD. Even greater to have a Chocolate Chia Mousse recovery cake afterward! Thanks Kelly that was awesome. Yes, I saved some for April.

    11. Ran a 31:13 at the St. Patrick's day 8k and was able to be a part of the team that placed 1st. One of the guys even won the grand prize pedal/hybrid bike in the raffle. Fun race!

    13. Great run Keith. I told you that you needed a little chocolate before each race. Plus the Chia keeps you hydrated.

    14. Chocolate and chia. A match made in heaven. That's all I had to eat before the race and felt great.

    16. We ran around the Chantilly neighborhoods for 3 miles and then around the school 6 times (1/2 mile per loop around the school) due to soccer and lacrosse games. We will be at the track tomorrow at 8:45 for anyone who wants to run with headlights.

    19. Keith-
I saw girls soccer home games scheduled for tonite 5:30-7pm. DO they play soccer on that field? I was thinking of going tonight since I missed yesterday.

    22. @ Keith: Way to go man! All that track work is paying off! Did you race in the Kinvaras?

    23. Adam,
I wore the Saucony type A4s sans socks for my last two races and they are awesome. It's amazing how training with Peter and focusing the 5k has really helped with improving speed (and losing weight).

    24. Good track workout yesterday. Good to see Nancy there doing speedwork to get ready for the ten miler. We will be at the track again tonight at 8:50.

    25. Finally, somebody combined the two best things in the world: Rap and Long Distance Running.
Check out the video on vegan Rich Roll's website:

"No milk, no cheese, no eggs, no meat….Just meditation. And peace. Red lentils. Chick peas. Good workout. Good sleep. More sunshine, light breeze…"

    26. Rich Roll is now one of my top 5 favorite athletes after seeing/hearing that. Still not going vegan though!

    27. Mo milk, mo cheese, mo eggs, mo meat....Stressful mornings. And AM traffic. Red Robbin, Chick fil a. Late workout, no sleep, rainy days and 50mph winds.
We can do this rap thing too!

    28. I will get some gold caps for my teeth and we'll do a video. I love the Red Robin and Chick fil A. I know Holly will be down with Chick fil A. Word up!

    29. It was deja vu all over again today at the G.C. Round Elementary Shamrock 5k. 18:30 and 3rd overall (same as my last 5k)and a $25 gift card to The Running Store in Gainseville. Slightly hilly course so I was not able to maintain the sub 5:50 pace past 2 miles. The event was really well organized and had a lot of friendly people and some familiar faces. Highly recommend it for those looking for a good 5k to run next March.
