ROGUE RACER WINS PARKWAY CLASSIC 5K!

Congrats to everyone on some amazing racing this weekend.  Rogue Racers team members competed in three races this weekend, achieved one overall win, three top division wins, and eight PR's.  WAY TO GO!  Check the results page to see just how well everyone did!

A big shout out also goes to several of our team members who got up at the crack of dawn to man the "Mile 9" water stop at the Parkway Classic 10 Miler.  Thank you for volunteering for TEAM BT and cheering on the runners!

Last week Keith attended The Running Store's first Wednesday night track workout.  He said it was a lot of fun, and has forwarded me the information in case anyone else wants to attend.  I plan on attending this Wednesday (and hope to drag as many people out to Gainesville with me as possible).  Click here for directions and workout information.

Happy training,

Holly

  5. Thanks for the tastiest water at Mile 9 water stop. Best ever...must have helped us get some PR's!! Nice to see some familiar faces. ;-)
Keith ....you are on fire man! Great job and congrats on your win!! Well deserved. I had a blast, but my legs are feeling some soreness today. I have to get back on track with my training. Holly post your comments on the track workout.

  7. It's good to know that I wanted world peace at the end of the race. Or, maybe had a temporary Dupuytren's contracture. Peace man!!!! Anyway, thanks for all the comments. Running would not have become fun again if it weren't for the Rogue Racers.

  9. Leah, I just went to the Pacers website and they have pictures up from swimbikerun and they've got one of you speeding down the 10 mile course. It's under the "see your race photos" tab at the bottom of the race's home page.

  10. Hey everyone.. I am on the lookout for an inexpensive road bike 54cm (?) I think that is right size(I'm 5'5") .... for the Sprint Triathlon I signed up for in May! If you know anyone looking to sell their old beat up road bike. I will take it.

  11. Keith, maybe you were just taunting the guy you just passed and put into the #2 position. Maybe it wasn't about world peace after all. Maybe it was just eat Rogue Racer dust.
Sorry that's not very sporting, but I'm excited for you. So I am taking it upon myself to talk trash for you.

  12. Nancy, you are welcome to ride Big Blue for the Sprint Tri. I've used Blue the last two years for the Sprint Tri and he has served me well! In fact, I still ride him to school, so I know that he is in fantastic shape. Just let me know.

  13. Keith, that was an inspiring performance! I'm hoping some of that energy will rub off on me in our training sessions.

Great job everyone, all those PR's! Looking forward to the next 5k with Rogue Racers.

  14. Hey Keith and Peter... I had the option to shift one of my final exams to next Monday, so I will not be joining you at the track tomorrow. Unfortunately, I've got to hit the books. Luckily, next Wednesday will be the last of my exams before Easter break, so I will have zero excuses to skip next week. :-)

  17. Ran speedwork session with the group from The Running Store and got my butt kicked! This is great for people at all levels of running. Peter and I were there to represent our group and hope to see more Rogue Racers next Wednesday.

  18. Hey all... I'm throwing in the towel on tomorrow morning. Not sure if it is going to rain or not, so I think I will just sleep in and study. If I get enough done (and it is nice out on Sunday) I might head out then!

  19. April, Peter and I got dusted by the many elite runners that ran Pike's Peak 10k. Peter and I were able to set PRs, April was able to run nearly pain free and my mom ran with us. Cool to line up with some of the big names in running. Only 50 seconds (+/- 1-2 sec)per mile faster and I should be able to keep up with Michael Wardian (I believe he ran a 4:53/mile pace today).
