Week of 2/6/12 - 2/12/12

Good morning, Rogue Racers!  Yesterday we had a great run at Burke Lake Park.  Kelly supplied the group with T-shirts advertising our race, so we ran around the lake in our shirts in order to get the race name out among the local runners.  We even had the chance to pass out fliers to several runners, and most looked very interested.  Two ladies even said they had already signed up!

Thank you to everyone for continuing to tell their friends and family about the Rev3 Run Rogue 5K.  I want to try and get a head count of what everyone intends on doing on race day.  Please respond to post below letting me know if you intend on . . .

  • running with your kids in the 1K
  • running in the 5K
  • volunteering
  • running and volunteering (please tell me which race you are running)

Once we know what everyone plans to do, we will send out specific job assignments for race day.  Thank you in advance for all our your help!

  1. Holy Color Batman! That logo pops out at you. I like it.
Holly, I'll be running the race. Daryl might run it and Julian might do the 1k (looking for grandma and grandpa help before signing up). I told April about the registration/packet pick up help and she's down with that.

  2. Hello Holly, nice job updating the website! I was thinking about running the 5k with Baby Vuong, but I didn't realize that you needed help volunteering. Mai-An and I definitely want to help out, so please let us know what you need help with and we will have to work something out so that the baby isn't outside too long...if it's cold. Also, if you need some help for packet pickups, you can sign me, Mai-An and Baby Vuong up.

  3. RUNNING AND VOLUNTEERING...I signed up to run, but I also plan on volunteering any way I can. Just let me know what you need help doing. (Package pickup may be a little tricky for me, I've had some late work nights lately, but I could possibly do the Pacer's pickup.

See everyone tonight at the track.

  5. Mackenzie & Finn are running in the 1k. John and I both signed up for the 5 k. We haven't worked out details if we are pushing the kids or not? We can help out volunteering too.. Not sure what jobs you have? I haven't been able to make most workouts lately... Do I can call whomever to get specific.

  6. Rain and ice and snow, oh my! Anyone care to use the looming weather as an excuse to run at the WO&D tail instead of the battlefield tomorrow? Possibly move the run to later in the morning? Or, am I just being prematurely lazy?

  7. Hi all,

Tomorrow's run is changed to 9:00am at the W&OD trail in Vienna. Running a little bit later should allow us to miss the yucky weather!

    See you in the morning!
