The Challenge: 1,000 (or 2,000) Miles in 2013

1,000 (or 2,000) Miles in 2013!  Are you ready for the challenge?  The rules are very simple:
  1. Respond to this post by commenting below, and let everyone know that you are participating in running the 1,000 (or 2,000) mile challenge.
  2. Every Sunday (starting 1/6/12) respond to the current weekly blog post notifying your fellow participants of your weekly mileage total (starting 1/1/13), and your current 2013 mileage total (e.g. 19.18 miles this week / 57.54 miles total).
  3. Don't forget to use your name when you comment so that you get full credit for your miles.
The challenge is truly a test of consistency and committment, but the payoff will be sweet.  I hope everyone will consider participating no matter where you live, how yucky your work schedule might be, or how daunting the task might sound.

Drumroll please...

    1. I figured! Although I have no doubt that Hayley would run 2,800-3,200 miles if she had the time.

  8. Just looked at last year's log and missed 3000 by 87 miles. Will go for 3000+ this year as long as everything holds together.

    2. Actually, my logs have been from August to August each year. I have to go back and see, but I think I started keeping track in 2008. Looking forward to this Jan. 1st start date because I haven't run a lot of miles since Steamtown. That Marathon took a lot more out of me than I thought.
