Week of 5/28/12 - 6/3/12

Happy Memorial Day weekend, Rogue Racers!  Congratulations to Keith for coming in 2nd place overall, one place behind Michael Wardian, in the Alexandria Running Festival Half Marathon this morning.  It was a hot and humid day for racing, but he still managed to finish approximately three minutes in front of the third place finisher.  Way to go, Keith!

Workouts for this week:

  • Monday 5/28/12 - 8:30am Memorial Day track workout at Chantilly HS
  • Tuesday 5/29/12 - no group workout
  • Wednesday 5/30/12 - 6:30pm track workout at Fairfax HS (check blog first)
  • Thursday 5/31/12 - no group workout
  • Friday 6/1/12 - no group workout
  • Saturday 6/2/12 - 10:00am run at the W&OD trail (check blog first)
  • Sunday 6/3/12 (Peter's b-day) - no group workout

We have several people out of town this week, so if you are planning on attending the Wednesday or Saturday morning runs, please check the blog before heading out to see if anyone else plans on running.  Also, it seems as if Fairfax HS is pretty strict about closing the track when there is lightning, so you might want to check the weather before heading over to Fairfax.  We learned that lesson the hard way!

Happy training,

  1. Anyone up fr track tonight

  2. I'll be there tonight if anyone else is up for it.

  3. Hannah and I are coming. See you there.

  4. Hey guys. Was anyone planning on W O&D tomorrow. Han and I were thinking of sleeping in and going at 10 since it will be cooler tomorrow.

  5. Just wanted to let everyone know that PVTC is having a track meet this Sunday. Doug is going for 4:40's and Sean and I are aiming for the 4:50's. These meets are a lot of fun and only $5. Check if you're interested.

  6. Hi Justin,
I have a course tomorrow, so Mark and I are going out for our long run around 5am. Have fun sleeping in!

  7. Keith,
I can't come this Sunday because I'm volunteering at the Reston Sprint Tri. When is the next meet?

  8. The next meet will be July 24th. There are going to be 3 or 4 more after that.
